Project Shoebox is our commitment to help the chosen beneficiaries of BreadCom (Bread from Heaven Community Church) this year which are public school children. It is a way of collecting and distributing shoeboxes stuffed with school supplies, toys and/or hygiene kits to underprivileged children from indigent or urban poor schools at Christmas time. Children whose age range are from 2-12 years old up to those who are already in their teen years were given one shoebox each.
And with bright smiles in their faces and anticipation mirroring in their eyes they accepted the shoeboxes one by one. Finally, when the time has come for them to open their respective boxes, everyone including those who are facilitating can’t help but smile when they saw the undeniably joyful expressions of these children.
